Mermaid Courses
Discover Mermaid
This experience is for those that want to try swimming with a mermaid tail! The Discover Mermaid experience introduces simple mermaid activities in a shallow pool. It is designed as a flexible, informative, enjoyable, and controlled experience centered on letting you discover what it's like to swim as a mermaid whether you're a child or an adult. Experience the fun at any age!
Must be at least six years old and comfortable in the water. All you have to do is show up and be excited to learn how to be a mermaid!

Mermaid
The PADI Mermaid course includes a knowledge development session and at least two water skill sessions that develop more dynamic mermaid skills beyond Basic Mermaid, including many skills that make mermaiding an underwater self-expressive art and performance. (Note that the PADI Mermaid course includes Basic Mermaid, so you can start with PADI Mermaid – there is no need to take Basic Mermaid separately)
Prerequisites: Can swim at least 50m/160ft without swim aids, and be able to float at the surface for at least 5 minutes. No prior experience with diving is required.
Must be at least ten years old.

Basic Mermaid
This two-hour course introductory course combines learning the supporting knowledge and principles with a confined water skill session to introduce the fun of mermaid diving! In this course, we cover how mermaid diving came to be, mermaid history in culture, primary safety considerations, equipment and basic water skills and includes a certification!
Prerequisites: Can swim 25m/80ft without swim aids and float comfortably at the surface for at least 3 minutes. No prior experience with diving is required.

Advanced Mermaid
In this advanced course, we will take your mermaid skills to the open ocean! You will learn how open water environments differ from a pool or confined water, and be introduced to open water mermaiding techniques. You will also learn about aquatic life – what to expect, how it can affect you, and how you can mermaid safely.
Prerequisites: Can swim 100m/320ft without swim aids, float comfortably at the surface for at least 10 mins, and must have completed the Mermaid Course.
Must be 12 years old

Mermaid and Advanced Mermaid Combo
This combination course is perfect for those who are comfortable in a monofin, are very confident swimmers, or already have experience mermaiding and want to take it to the next level! By taking this course, you can knock out two certifications in one day! Includes one knowledge development session, two pool sessions, and two open water sessions.
Prerequisites: Swim at least 100m/320ft and float comfortably at the surface for at least 10 minutes.
Must be at least 12 years old.

Please bring: A towel, bathing suit, dry clothes, reusable water bottle, flip flops, mermaid tail skin, monofin, mask and j-snorkel, bifins, weights and weight belt.
Mermaid tails, monofins, masks, snorkels, bifins, weights and weight belts can be rented as a complete package of $80 for students. Have some of these items already? Let us know what you need!
A wetsuit is highly recommended and required for open water sessions.
Medical and Liability waiver forms are required to be signed and submitted before class. A parent/guardian must sign for those under 18 years old.
eLearning is included in these prices and must be completed before the in-person portion.
A $150 deposit is required at least two weeks before the mermaid course date.
These courses do not include transportation, lodging, or food and beverage.
We reserve the right to cancel any activity due to unforeseen weather conditions; in the instance we cancel an activity on our end, we will offer a free rebooking.
Must already be a good swimmer to participate in any of our water activities.
Courses must meet class minimums of at least 2 participants
Refund Policy: Refunds can only be issued when requested within 48 hours of payment. The cost of eLearning cannot be refunded.
